Acaylar tops ABCollege 2015 Pre- Bar Exam

The School of Law of Andres Bonifacio College has recently conducted its Pre Bar

Examinations to the graduating class and refreshers last February 1,8,15 and 22, 2015 as part of

the curriculum in Bar Preparations and Techniques. It covered 8 subjects, namely: Political Law,

Labor Law, Civil Law, Taxation, Mercantile Law, Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Legal and

Judicial Ethics.

In the said exam, Cattleya B. Acaylar occupied the top spot, out of 24 examinees, after

garnering a total average of 82 percent. Acaylar, who hails from Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte,

is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Antonio B. Acaylar and is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in

Nursing, Batch 2010 of Andres Bonifacio College.

Holding the second spot is Goldie Love I.Poculan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert

Poculan, Jr. She comes from Rizal, Zamboanga del Norte. Following her are, Mary May A.

Abellon of Dipolog City, Carrie Nizva Refugio of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte and Elro Mar

Tabiliran of Salug, Zamboanga del Norte, who filled the third, fourth and fifth spots,

respectively.

The announcement was made during the Testimonial Dinner in honor of the graduating

class of 2015, held last March 7, 2015 at Skyroom, Ariana Hotel, Dipolog City. It was attended

by the honoree’s parents and guests, School of Law Faculty and members of the School

Administration.

“The objective of the “Mock Bar”, as it was previously called, was to give students the

feel of what the true Bar Examination is and to familiarize them with the procedure”, said Judge

Ric Bastasa, the examiner in Political Law. The real Bar Examinations will be held in the month

of November this year.

Dean Ma. Cheryl Angela Pacatang-Barbaso, in her message during the Testimonial

Dinner, strongly urged students who might proceed to take the Bar Examination 2015 to keep a

good focus, to do what is required of them, and to dwell on positive thoughts of hope, faith and
