ABCollege hosts 2012 Regional PRISAA Meet

The Andres Bonifacio College is currently hosting the 2012 Regional Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Meet.

 After a brief parade around the city participated in by the delegates from the cities of Dipolog, Pagadian, Basilan, Isabela, and Zamboanga, the said athletic meet was formally opened with a program at the Amando B. Amatong Civic Center yesterday, February 25, 2012. With its complete sports amenities, the College is hosting most of the sports events. Games like football, baseball, softball, judo, karatedo, taekwondo, boxing, and sepak takraw are simultaneously being played at the ABCollege campus as of press time while the other events are being held in designated areas in the city.

Founded in February 17, 1953, the PRISAA is an association of private, Christian, and home school-based athletic departments throughout the country. The organization’s main goal is to bring exposure and credibility to private schools across the country by holding sports tournaments and sponsoring sports awards.

Sports enthusiasts and fans alike will surely be dazzled with the athleticism, endurance, and sportsmanship of the competitors as they battle it out for the top spots in their respective sports events. The 2012 Regional PRISAA will have its closing ceremonies on Monday, February 27, 2012. The leading athletes will have another chance at glory at the National PRISAA Meet which will be held on April 22-28, 2012 in Cebu City.
