ABCollege Basic Ed Students Win in the 2016 Private Schools’ National Science Quiz

Students from the Basic Education Department (elementary and high school) of Andres

Bonifacio College grabbed top posts in the recently concluded 2016 National Science

Quiz, Private Schools Category held last February 6, 2016 at the Teacher’s Camp,

Baguio City. The College’s contingent bested students coming from the different parts of

the country.

III – Champion , Environmental Science Quiz Category (Individual Category) ; Andrea

Viktoria M. Caño, Grade IV – Champion, Science Quiz and Champion, Environmental

Science Quiz (Individual Category); Ron Mishael P. Patangan , Grade IV – First

Runner-Up, Science Quiz; Isagani Miguel A. Ranillo, Grade V – First Runner – Up,

Environmental Science Quiz (Individual Category), Third Runner- Up , Science Quiz

and Second Runner- Up – Environmental Science Quiz (Team Category) ; Francis

Nathaniel L. Alpuerto, Grade VI- Champion, Science Quiz , Third Runner- Up –

Environmental Science Quiz (Individual Category) and Second Runner -Up,

Environmental Science Quiz (Team Category) ; and Richard T. Alterado Jr., Grade VI-

First Runner –Up , Science Quiz , Second Runner –Up, Environmental Science Quiz

(Individual Category) and Second Runner – Up, Environmental Science Quiz (Team

Category).

On the other hand, the High School contingent, aside from being declared as Champion

in the Team Category, bagged the following individual awards: Douglas Marimon,

Grade 7 -6th place; Anne Margarette Cabalida, Grade 8 – 2nd Place; Ma. Zeara Castolo,

Grade 9 – 7th Place and Maedy Tepacia, Grade 10 – 6th Place in the Science Quest

Category. In the Science Techno Olympics, Cherry Joy Bautista, Grade 7 got the 5th

Place; Kristal Claire Talaboc , Grade 8 in 2nd Place and Catherine Tequil, Grade 9 in 5th

Place.

The teams were under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Lucille B. Tagulo, Mrs.

Rothel P. Laranjo and Miss Glorilie M. Santander, coaches for the elementary

department and Ms. Revie R. Badiang and Ms. Niña Jean B. Catubig, coaches for the
