Lone 2011 ABCollege BAT Grad passes Agriculturist Board Exam

Mr. Carlu Alfonso Acaylar Realiza, the lone Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (BAT) graduate of Andres Bonifacio College of 2011, has successfully passed the Agriculturist Board Examination held last July this year. He joins the ranks of 1,085 newly registered agriculturists.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 2,962 examinees took the board exam which is also known as the Agriculturist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Agriculture in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. Only 1,085 of the examinees were successful.

While in college, Mr. Realiza was known among his peers and teachers because of his diligence and hard work. He was never ashamed in selling his locally produced agricultural products which were grown in his own backyard. As an agriculture student, he demonstrated his knowledge and skills in farming by cultivating his little farm which resulted in his superior, better quality agricultural produce.

It is also worth remembering that during the College’s Commencement Exercises last March 2011, he caught the attention of Secretary Proceso J. Alcala of the Department of Agriculture who was then the Guest Speaker. Mr. Realiza received a cash gift from Secretary Alcala . He was even offered a job in the  Department of Agriculture. As a licensed agriculturist, Mr. Realiza still continues to cultivate his own farm and to share his expertise to his community.
