Admission

ADMISSION POLICY

 

Andres Bonifacio College is open to all applicants who meet the requirements for admission as set forth by The Department of Education (DepEd), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and this Institution.

Likewise, this Institution welcomes applicants who will religiously abide by its rules and regulations.  Upon admission, any student is subject to all rules and regulations as stated in the Student Handbook and in various memoranda emanating from duly constituted offices of this Institution from time to time.

Academic entrance requirements vary with the program the applicant desires to enroll in. The same is true with non-academic requirements.

General Requirements:

  1. Form 138- A/HS Card – Freshmen
    Informative copy of Transcript of Record – Transferee
    Evaluation of Grades from the Registrar’s Office – Shiftee
  2. Honorable Dismissal, if transferee
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. 2 pcs. of recent 2×2 colored pictures (white background and name tag
  5. NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate
  6. National Career Assessment Examination

Departmental Requirements:

a. Graduate School

    •   Authenticated photocopy of Transcript of Records
    •   Special Order for graduates of CHED-regulated private schools
    •   Study permit from the supervisor if government employee
    •   Authenticated photocopy of undergraduate diploma
    •   Honorable dismissal if graduated from other school

b. School of Law

    •  Authenticated photocopy of Transcript of Records – at least eighteen
      (18) units in English, eighteen (18) units in Social Sciences, and
      six (6) units in Mathematics
    •  Passed the Law Qualifying Examination
    •  Special Order for graduates of CHED-regulated private schools
    •  Certification of Good Moral Character from two (2) former professors
    •  Study permit from the supervisor if government employee
    •  Authenticated photocopy of undergraduate diploma
    •  Payment for the Certificate of Eligibility to Study Law
    • Honorable dismissal if graduated from other school

c. School of Nursing

    • Form 138- A/HS Card Grade Average of at least 80%
    • Passed the College Qualifying Examination
    • Passed the interview by the Dean
    • Recent result of Hepatitis B screening and Chest X-ray
    • Recent result of ECG, FBS and CBC(applicants over 35 years old)
    • Medical certificate for Physical and Mental Health from a medical
    • practitioner
    • Photocopy of Marriage Contract (if married)
    • For Transferee and shiftee; grades for professional subjects minimum
    • of 80%, grades for English, Sciences and Math minimum of 77%.

d. School of Business Management Education

    • Form 138- A/HS Card Grade Average of at least 85%
    • Passed the College Qualifying Examination
    • For Transferee and shiftee; Grade Average of 80%

e. School of Education

    • Form 138- A/HS Card Grade Average of at least 80%

f.  Senior High School

    • Certificate of Grade 10 Completion For crediting of subjects, all major subjects taken from other colleges/universities with the same number of units, description, content, and prerequisite requirements to those of this Institution’s will be credited.

Returning Students

    Those who previously enrolled at this Institution and after having enrolled in other colleges/schools would like to return, are considered transfer students. They should meet the requirements for admission required of the other new students.

Resident Aliens, Naturalized Filipinos, and Students with Direct Foreign Lineage

  1. Filipino-born alien students must submit a photocopy of their Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and Native Born Certificate of Registration (NBCR) duly certified against the original copy by the Regional Director, NCSO, Region IX
  2. Children of Naturalized Filipino Citizens must submit a photocopy of Identification Certificate issued by the Commissioner of Immigration.  This must be certified against the original copy by NCSO, Region IX
  3. Renewed ACR must be submitted every semester
